A brief introduction

If you are reading this, you’ve likely fallen in love.

It’s also likely that you’ve found a day on which to celebrate that love—a day that holds great depth, warmth, and wonder for all who are witness to it.

A few years ago, I was able to document such a day on my treasured 16mm camera.

It was then that I felt the same magic in motion picture: capturing once-in-a-lifetime events on physical film, affected by the light of a moment, twenty-four times a second.

I fell in love with the process.

I’ve chosen to honor that love by dedicating my craft to the curation of weddings as moving pieces of art.

If you do not know me, my name is Colson, and it would be my joy to commemorate your one-of-a-kind day with a film unique to you.

Notes on the medium

Film is a unique medium with its own set of characteristics that inform the way I document weddings.

Prior to any wedding, I purchase a set amount of film based on pre-determined expectations. That amount determines exactly how much I can shoot throughout the day. I work with you beforehand to make sure all the memories you want on film are covered!

Some may see this approach as a limitation, but I have only ever experienced it as a gift. It requires thoughtful framing and planning of specific shots that will create the overall story of your day.

My goal is to craft a film that feels—one that remembers your day artfully, with intention and splendor.

On top of the edited video, you will have access to all the footage shot on the day of the wedding.
